Every time when I begin to read books with my kids I choose the ones I liked to read in my childhood but very often I see that it doesn’t work as well as it did to me.

So, I’ve colllected in this poll books we’ve read or going to read together. I see and I clearly understand that many of them are not interested to our modern kids but why it makes me sad?

I’ll be happy to see here your favorite books including your childhood’s books you read with your kids now.

The books my kids read

Constantly the book I see on my kid’s table is one of Garry Potter’s books.
How much times I tried to wake up their interest to the books I read in teen’s age: “The Catcher in the Rye” by J. D. Salinger, “The Great Gatsby” and “Tender Is the Night” by F. Scott Fitzgerald, “Arch of Triumph”, “All Quiet on the Western Front” and “Three Comrades” by Erich Maria Remarque, Hemingway and Kafka books but I didn’t success.
I understand that we live in other time, our reality is different. But I think our feelings are not so changed. Why our kids don’t interested in those romantic books we so loved to read?
I know to understand them better I have to read books they read now.
One of such books is “P.S. I Love You” written by Irish writer Cecelia Ahern in 2004.
I hope I’ll try to read it soon.
